Six young people enter the SINERSA Scholarship program at UDEP

PIURA. Six students with outstanding academic performance have been selected to access the “SINERSA Scholarships at UDEP” program, which will allow them to begin their university studies at the prestigious University of Piura (UDEP) starting in the first semester of 2025.

Among the beneficiaries, five are children of farmers from the areas of influence of SINERSA operations, who face conditions of economic vulnerability, and one is the son of a company worker. Those selected were admitted after a rigorous evaluation process that highlighted their academic merit.

The new scholarship recipients, whom we congratulate for their effort and dedication, son:

  • Ana María Temoche Jaramillo and Fabricio Moisés Chiroque Mejía (Mechanical-Electrical Engineering).
  • Josué Nemesio Correa Merino, Gustavo Alonso Antón Valdivia and Joaquín Lorenzo Chulle Dedios (Industrial and Systems Engineering).
  • Rubén Absalón Chunga Arteaga (Architecture).

With this new promotion, the program adds a total of 25 young people studying at UDEP thanks to the strategic alliance between the university and SINERSA, in force since 2004. This initiative’s main objective is to support talented students from the communities near the operations. of the company, promoting their professional development and their contribution to the progress of their locations.

Since its creation, the program has awarded 106 scholarships, of which 22 have already been successfully completed. This constant effort reflects SINERSA’s commitment to education, providing promising young people with the necessary tools to integrate as professionals into the Peruvian labor market.

The general manager of SINERSA, Eng. Branislav Zdravkovic, highlighted the value of this initiative in his message to the scholarship recipients:

“This year, SINERSA reaffirms its commitment to education in the Piura region, supporting young people with high academic performance from the areas near our hydroelectric plants in Curumuy and Poechos. We urge you to take on this challenge with effort and dedication to achieve your dreams. We motivate them to move forward, achieve their goals, conclude their careers and become better people and professionals every day.”

This scholarship program is an example of SINERSA’s commitment to the educational development of the communities where it operates, providing new professional training opportunities each year to young people who aspire to contribute to their environment and the progress of the country.
